its not ok to ride that dick, not even if its baracks

Today's song: Dick Riding Obama by Wil.I.Am featuring Thugnificent

It's no secret that i don't like our current president.  The more astute among you may have noticed that i have continuously failed the capitalize his name, this is intentional.  I respect the office but the eight years of his predecessor have shown that the public dialog have become coarsened and the various members of the mainstream media feel that anything is permissible as long as you are directing it at your enemy.  Far be it from me to refuse to sink to my opponents level.

But there are other more reasonable voices out there in the interwebs.  Voices you should be heeding.  One such is Orson Scott Card.  You should be familiar with Mr. Card as the author of Ender's Game.  If you have not read Ender's Game; stop, go to Amazon and order a copy, then return here and finish this post.  Mr. Card is a Moderate Democrat.  By that i mean he is actually committed to values that are considered moderate, not that he is some wishy-washy mental weakling that refuses to commit to something.  So i respect his opinion.

Mr. Card called out the mainstream media back in 2008, and his criticisms stand.  Today obama's approval rating is at 47% with 28% strongly approving of his performance.  28% is about right because as we learned on South Park one in four Americans is retarded.  43% of the non-retarded Americans strongly disapprove of obama.  Can you imagine what the numbers would be if he was subject to the same level of criticism as George W. Bush?  Instead we still have the media trying to ride that dick.

On another, happier note, if you are unaware of OSC's weekly column "Uncle Orson Reviews Everything" (published by the Rhinoceros Times in Greensboro, North Carolina) you are no longer unaware.  I can't praise this column nearly enough.  This man has the best consumer tastes of anyone i have met, seen, heard, or read about.  His product recommendations are spot on.  If you take the time to read his posts you will find something you did not know about but will fall in love with be it a TV show, flavored water or a play.  His review is the reason i watch Burn Notice and for my renewed love affair with USA's original programming.

Later

Bob

PS I didn't mention The Boondocks because i figure you are all already watching, buying, recording it.
